2023 Independence Day Competition

By Steve Wijono (9C)

As August begins, the Independence Day celebrations bring about a sense of patriotism in the community. Our school, Cita Hati Christian School, is no exception as we participate in activities such as displaying the national flag, cultural carnivals, and competitions.

On August 14th, 2023, students in grades 7 to 12 celebrated Indonesia's 78th Independence Day with a 2-hour and 15-minute event aimed at instilling nationalism and love for the country through educational activities.

The Games

There are two games that students in each class can participate in as a group, such as tug of war and clog.

The Competition

Other competitions that students from each class can take part in individually are speeches, doodles, caricatures, and Cita Hati Got Talent.

The Grand Prize

Each class sends representatives to take part in existing games and competitions.
The winner of the most events in one class will become the main winner
and be entitled to receive the grand prize in the form of
free tuition in September 2023 for all students in that class.

Finally, by participating in Indonesia's 78th Independence Day, all the students will appreciate the struggle of the heroes more. It is not impossible that later a sense of patriotism and nationalism can grow and take root in our hearts.
